This ad was upgraded (from a TQCWP to a THCWP) to allow the use of a full color photo with increased impact. How inviting to see a warm fire in the fireplace - and by the way have you had your chimney cleaned since last season?

Capitol City Insurance
With the use of full color, this advertiser was able to "capitolize" on the fact that the company name definitely ties into our Capitol City, Sacramento. A sales representative on our staff took these photographs and worked closely with the artist to achieve the look requested by the customer. This ad has proven very successful and is now being published for the third year.

Cochrane’s Chapel of the Roses
From an artistic perspective, the original version of this ad was screaming for process color. However, certain headings (such as Funeral Directors) require a particular sensitivity to the reader’s probable state-of-mind. SureWest’s art department recommended a photo that can be interpreted as either a sunrise or sunset. The photo is a little sad but with a definite light at the end of the tunnel. This photo was also free of charge to the customer because of our exclusive access to over 40,000 stock photography images. Thus, the customer was able to maintain the same size ad yet dominate the heading with the use of color.

James O’Brien, Attorney at Law
Originally a three color ad, this customer upgraded to full color and created a different look and feel, with a patriotic theme. Warm and vibrant colors make this ad unique – especially in this heading.

What better way to entice your customers who are looking for a florist than with color? The customer was very pleased with the new, modern look we gave their logo. The result: a fresh, pleasing, effective ad.

Plastic Surgery Associates
Upsizing and adding full color placed this advertiser closer to the front of this heading. The use of stock photography brings attention to the ad, and allows this surgeon to compete with the many other practices also listed.

Quality Auto Care
Specialty positions are some of the most coveted spots within the directory, because they are printed on glossy paper stock and are the most visible. This customer had a full page process color ad, but wanted to step up to a tab position for the 2003 Directory.

Our team blended a high-tech look (using colors not found in any comparable spot in the book) with the use of a photo featuring an average, happy family one might see shopping at the Roseville Auto Mall. The result: an ad that generates nearly 200 calls per month!

This ad is an excellent example of the use of three colors instead of full process. A duotone treatment in the background lends a look of full color without the expense. This has proven to be a successful ad for this customer, year after year.
