Polish born and educated, Zbigniew Kozikowski is a painter who works with oil and acrylic paints, but
also makes extensive use of watercolors. Nature's vivacity and beauty have had a profound effect on him,
forming the genesis of his artistic work. Creating his own vision with the help of many rich and bountiful
colors that are constantly changing in scheme and mood is one of the signature features on each of
Kozikowski's canvases.
After receiving his Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Kozikowski traveled
extensively in Eastern and Western Europe participating in many art seminar and workshops. His travels
were also filled with many solo and group shows. Not surprisingly, these countries, along with the
United States, make up a good portion of his collector base. His talented interpretations seem to
transcend national borders and esthetics. Zbigniew currently lives in Sacramento, creating and showing
his work out of his studio, located on the second floor of the Art Foundry Gallery. Kozikowski Studios
is open every second Saturday of every month, and by appointment.
