The judges for the 2005-2006 Auburn, Grass Valley, Nevada City Directory included the following local celebrities or community leaders:

Brian Terhorst – This Nevada City resident is General Manager of KVMR Radio, the volunteer-driven, community-based station known for it's award-winning locally-focused news and public affairs programming. In 1992 as a volunteer, he launched the Saturday morning folk and acoustic music program, Harmony Ridge, which he still hosts today.

Bud Pisarik – An illustrator, designer and cartoonist himself, Bud is the publisher of the art news journal “WESTART”, and the former publisher of the “Loomis NEWS”, “Colfax RECORD” and an Oregon-based newspaper the “Brookings-Harbor PILOT” as well as being a regular contributor to the “Auburn Journal”.

Richard Antonelli – Local business leader Richard Antonelli is President of United Natural Foods, Inc., (formerly Whole Foods, Inc.) the largest wholesale distributor to the natural and organic industry in the United States. His business acumen oversees four divisions: Wholesale location thought the U.S, Albert's Organics, Hershey Imports, and the Natural Retail Group.

Alice M. Dowdin – As Mayor of Auburn since 2001, and contributing more than 16 years in state and local government initiatives throughout Placer County, Alice offers the perspective of civic leadership to our cover program. Alice has held various political offices including City Council-member, Supervisor, and Placer County Parks Commissioner.
